The Indonesian Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) Mercedes-Benz Indonesia is certain to provide 2 (two) units of Mercedes-Benz S600 Guard models as Presidential VVIP class vehicles.
In addition to deciding on a presidential car, the Ministry of State Secretariat has also prepared a new official vehicle for ministers from the Working Cabinet members, ministerial level officials, chair / deputy chairman of the MPR, DPR, and DPD.
From the results of the direct appointment system for the car category of officials including equivalent ministers, former presidents and vice presidents, it was decided by PT Astra International Tbk-TSO as the winner to provide 101 Toyota Crown 2.5 HV G-Executive cars.
Through a written statement by the Deputy Assistant (Asdep) of the Ministry of State Ministry of Public Relations, Eddy Cahyono Sugiarto, the procurement of official cars is only done because currently the condition of the vehicles used is often damaged and inefficient and is not suitable for use by state officials.
“It requires high maintenance costs so that it needs to be rejuvenated with technical considerations such as safety, reliability, and maintenance costs which are increasingly expensive due to age of use,” reads a written statement.
The 2019 Ministry of State Secretariat’s Budget Implementation Entry List (DIPA) has also been discussed and has been approved by the DPR. This is in accordance with Law Number 12 of 2018 concerning the State Budget for the 2019 Budget Year.
“The vehicle procurement is carried out through a public tender mechanism using the Electronic Procurement Service (LPSE) system or online,” he explained.

A total of 101 units of Toyota Crown luxury sedan 2.5 HV G-Executive will be used by the ministers with a term of 2019-2024.
The environmentally friendly car is a hybrid car, in accordance with the code HV (Hybrid Vehicle). This car is equipped with a 2.5L Dynamic Force Engine Hybrid System engine. Its overall strength is claimed to reach 223 tk with 221 Nm of torque. Fuel consumption can reach 19.4 km / L.
For transmission, this car uses a CVT and an all wheel drive drive system. Its dimensions are 4,910 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,455 mm in height. Meanwhile, the wheelbase is 2,920 mm.
In the cabin, on the dashboard, there are two 8-inch and 7-inch screens for the Data Communication Module which are central to managing various features in the car.
